Had the perfect day to go fly today. An extreme high pressure system covered a good portion of Nevada and Utah with the barometric reading sitting at 30.70" for the better part of the weekend. There was also a pretty good temperature inversion. The temp on the ground when I departed Reno was 31 Fahrenheit while it was 49 degrees while cruising around at 9,500 feet (~4,000 feet above the ground). Just the opposite of what it should be.
