I spent most of November preparing for the commercial pilot check ride after having completed the written back in March. I've been wanting to get this done for a few years, but always seemed to find a reason to keep delaying it. I should have done it a long time ago as it was a blast doing all of the different maneuvers to the commercial standards. Things like 8's on pylons, chandelles, and lazy eights. I feel that I'm a better pilot for it and I was able to become a lot more comfortable in the Bonanza....which was a huge bonus! As any student knows, I had a case of the pre-test jitters for some reason, but after settling into the cockpit, I relaxed and everything went back to normal. The oral exam wasn't as bad as I feared and it helped that I was over prepared. Next step, upgrading my Private Pilot Multi-Engine License to the Commercial ticket. Some photos from the post check ride trip home from Truckee, CA (KTRK).
